Organic Chamomile Tea

2 tspns Chamomile per 250ml cup hot water (90 degrees C)

Steep for 4-5 mins.

Chamomile is best brewed from water that is not boiling. Turn the kettle off just before it boils or leave it to cool a few minutes before adding to your tea.  Like most herbal teas, boiling water produces an unwanted bitterness.

Chamomile makes an excellent addition to green tea with some fresh honey and a lemon slice.

Excellent served as an iced tea with honey and fresh lemon.

If you want to up your chamomile tea game - add 1 tspn of freshly grated ginger, a cinnamon stick, and a crushed cardamon pod to a pot with chamomile and bring to an almost boil, allow to simmer for 4-5 mins then add some maple syrup or honey, strain and serve.  You can also add some fresh lemon or orange slices.
