Purefolk's Citrus Hibiscus Herbal Tea is one of our most flavoursome herbal teas. It has rich, jammy berry and orange notes balanced with hints of warming spice and a soft touch of aromatic rose and honey-sweet orange blossom petals. It's heavenly served both warm or chilled over ice with some freshly sliced orange or lemon.

At the heart of this blend is hibiscus, delivering a lively tart berry character and a beautiful ruby-red colour. Paired with a citrus burst of orange for brightness, rosehip for jammy depth, crystallised ginger for spicy-sweetness and a hint of warming cardamon, the result is heavenly. Soft aromatics of rose and orange blossom round out the blend, creating a fragrant finish that lingers pleasantly with every sip.

Using the same base ingredients as our citrus hibiscus skin glow tea, this version has added sweetness from candied ginger and apple. Whilst it's still full of skin-loving ingredients and antioxidants, it does have added sugar cane from the candied ginger (less than 1g per serve). If sugar is an absolute no for you, try our 75% Organic Citrus Hibiscus Skin Glow or 100% Organic Skin Glow Wellness blend, which have no added sugar.

Delicious served warm or cold with a touch of sweetener - we love agave syrup or honey for this one.

Hibiscus - Rich in antioxidants, particularly anthocyanins, which help support overall cellular health. May also help support healthy blood pressure levels, aid hydration, and promote heart health. May also support digestion and has mild anti-inflammatory properties.

Rosehip - Naturally high in vitamin C and antioxidants, which can help support immune health and skin vitality. They’re also traditionally used to support joint health and reduce inflammation.

Orange Oil - Contains natural citrus compounds such as limonene that may support digestion and provide antioxidant benefits. Its bright aroma is also known to promote an uplifting mood and gentle relaxation.

Cardamom - helps support digestion and reduce bloating. It also contains antioxidants and may help support oral health and circulation.

Crystallised Ginger (in Cane Sugar) - Widely known for supporting digestive comfort and helping reduce nausea. It also contains anti-inflammatory compounds and may help support circulation and immune health.

Orange Blossom - Known for its calming properties. It may help promote relaxation, reduce stress, and support restful sleep while adding delicate orange-honey like aromatics.

Orange - Provides natural vitamin C and flavonoids that help support immune function. Contains trace electrolytes of potassium, and magnesium to support fluid balance and overall wellness. Citrus compounds may also aid digestion and provide antioxidant protection.

Rose Petals - Contain antioxidants for skin health and cell protection. Also used to support digestion and relaxation. They may also help soothe the nervous system.

Prior to serving, give the tea a good mix as some settling may occur. If using our canisters, roll the canister (lid on) in your hand, then turn upside down and give the base a tap so the smaller ingredients will filter to the top.

Add 2 heaped teaspoons per 200mls of hot water, 85ºC (not boiling) to a teapot or infuser plus 2+ orange pieces per cup. Infuse for 5 minutes, then remove herbs.

Add sweetener to balance any tartness. This tea does contain a small amount of sugar in the crystallised ginger, so taste before adding any further.

Add freshly sliced orange rounds, or orange peel (no white pith), to tea for extra sweetness and flavour depth (you can leave this in the tea).

Serve both warm or as iced tea.
